We are seeking a Sr. Materials Sourcing Manager to join our talented Softgoods team. In this role, you will lead and implement an enterprise-wide raw materials sourcing strategy. This includes partnering closely with product teams across our portfolio of brands to collaboratively define and refine an optimized material sourcing strategy that meets consumer expectations, supports unique needs such as innovation and sustainability but also builds scale and leverage when and where possible. You will also help to establish and grow supplier partnerships and manage and improve performance.
This position reports to the Sr. Director of Global Sourcing and allows you the flexibility to work from your home office 2 days a week and out of our Irvine, CA office 3 days a week.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute global material sourcing strategies in parallel to finished goods sourcing strategies to improve leverage, service, quality and total cost of ownership across a global spend portfolio while also balancing diversification and risk
- Establish processes and best practices to understand and influence Product teams around key materials and supplier selection and understand individual brand needs to build and refine a global materials source base that supports market-leading design, category direction and profitability targets.
- Manage and develop key supplier relationships and collaborate to drive performance, cost excellence, innovation, and sustainability
- Conduct commodity specific competitor and industry analysis to identify cost, material selection, manufacturing techniques and materials sourcing to improve the company’s competitive position
- Lead and influence continuous process and tool/data development and improvement opportunities to help improve analytics, efficiencies, and profitability across materials spend
Requirements/Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant area required
- Minimum 8 years of experience in materials sourcing, development, or planning including Mill partner selection and management
- Advanced knowledge of materials manufacturing, procurement and supply chain
- Strong influencing/negotiation skills and change management experience with the ability to successfully manage complexity and multiple priorities
- Quick learner with interest in understanding and applying global supplier best practices
- Ability to work independently to deliver results and influence stakeholders internally and externally
- Ability to take accountability for driving results and overcoming challenges
- Demonstrated ability to lead multiple projects across categories, commodities, suppliers and both HQ and Global business functions
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated with a strong sense of urgency
